What Is the I Am Pet Care Guarantee?
The I Am Pet Care Guarantee is our way of backing every booking made and paid through the I Am Pet Care platform. If something goes unexpectedly wrong during a booked service, we may reimburse eligible veterinary care or property damage expensesâup to $25,000 CADâon approved claims.
Whatâs Covered?
- Injury or illness to a pet during a confirmed booking.
- Veterinary expenses directly related to the incident.
- Third-party property damage caused by a sitter, walker, or pet during care.
- Injuries to other pets involved in the same booking.
đ Important: Coverage is limited to incidents occurring during a confirmed, paid booking on I Am Pet Care and is secondary to any personal insurance.
Whatâs Not Covered?
- Pre-existing conditions, chronic illness, or preventative care.
- Injuries that occur outside the booking window.
- Claims filed more than 48 hours after discovery.
- Injuries to sitters or their property.
- Lost or stolen pets due to negligence.
- Any incidents not reported through the platform.
Whoâs Eligible?
- Clients and service providers using I Am Pet Care for bookings made and paid through our platform.
- Must have an active user account in good standing.
- Must follow all safety guidelines and pet care policies outlined in our Terms of Service.
How to File a Claim
- Notify us within 48 hours of the incident.
- Provide supporting documentation: vet invoices, photos, booking ID.
- Our team will review and determine eligibility for reimbursement.

This Is Not Insurance
The I Am Pet Care Guarantee is a discretionary reimbursement program. It is not pet insurance or general liability coverage. You are encouraged to maintain appropriate insurance coverage for your pets, property, and services.
