Pet Care Standards & Code of Conduct

Effective Date: September 16, 2025

Applies To: All Service Providers, Staff, and Affiliates of I Am Pet Care Inc.

1. Commitment to Animal Welfare

  • Treat all pets with respect, compassion, and dignity.
  • Prioritize the physical and emotional well-being of animals at all times.
  • Never use physical punishment or harmful training techniques.
  • Immediately report any animal abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities.

2. Health, Safety & Hygiene

  • Maintain clean, sanitized tools, equipment, and pet environments.
  • Disinfect grooming tables, kennels, and transport vehicles between uses.
  • Ensure pets have constant access to fresh water and are not left in unsafe conditions (e.g., in hot cars).
  • Use pet-safe products and avoid cross-contamination between animals.

3. Professional Conduct

  • Be punctual, reliable, and communicative.
  • Wear company-approved or clean professional attire when performing services.
  • Never engage in unapproved private arrangements with clients that bypass the I Am Pet Care platform.
  • Refrain from any discriminatory, harassing, or abusive behavior.

4. Transparency with Clients

  • Clearly explain services, pricing, and care routines.
  • Disclose incidents, illnesses, or behavioral changes immediately.
  • Do not make medical decisions without owner consent unless there’s an emergency.
  • Honor all commitments made through the I Am Pet Care platform.

5. Emergency Protocols

  • Carry emergency contact numbers for both the pet owner and a local veterinary clinic.
  • In medical emergencies, seek vet assistance immediately and notify the client.
  • Document all incidents clearly and submit to I Am Pet Care support within 24 hours.

6. Training & Qualifications

  • Complete onboarding training modules provided by I Am Pet Care.
  • Maintain valid certifications in grooming, first aid, or training as applicable.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development when required by the company.

7. Privacy & Client Confidentiality

  • Keep all client information confidential, including home access codes and health disclosures.
  • Do not share pet or client photos on social media without express written permission.

8. Prohibited Conduct

The following will result in immediate termination and potential legal action:

  • Animal neglect, abuse, or endangerment
  • Theft or property damage
  • Unauthorized off-platform bookings
  • Substance use while on duty
  • Misrepresentation of qualifications

9. Compliance and Enforcement

  • Regular reviews and spot checks may be conducted by I Am Pet Care.
  • Providers who violate this Code may be suspended or permanently removed.
  • Reinstatement requires company review and written agreement to uphold all standards.

10. Agreement Acknowledgment

All service providers must digitally or physically sign this Code of Conduct as a condition of ongoing participation on the platform.
